When Carole King and James Taylor shared the stage of the Troubadour club in 1970 little did they know that this will be the performance to shoot them both to stardom. The next year King released her album Tapestry which is one of the best-selling albums ever, winning her four Grammy Awards that year and making her the first woman to win so many Grammys in a single year.

After forty years King and Taylor will get together again for their Troubadour Reunion tour. The tour will start with a show in Melbourne on March 27 and will continue with a series of shows in New Zealand and Japan. In May they will return for the US leg of the tour which will end in July.

The US leg of the Troubadour Reunion tour will include stops at Seattle’s Key Arena, San Jose’s HP Pavilion, LA’s Hollywood bowl, the Jobing.com Arena in Phoenix, the Sommet Center in Nashville, Chicago’s Allstate Arena, The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Air Canada Centre in Toronto, as well as other venues in Columbus, Atlanta, Tampa, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and others.

King and Taylor will tour together with their old friends and band-mates guitarist Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, drummer Russ Kunkel and bassist Lee Sklar.

Both King and Taylor have been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, they are both Grammy Awards winners and are among the most successful musicians ever.

More than 1000 artists have recorded Carole King’s songs. From her 25 solo albums more than 100 hit singles have emerged. Her most successful album, Tapestry, is regarded as a classic not only for its original songs but also for popular covers such as Aretha Franklin’s version of “Natural Woman”. Most recently singer Christine Tobin and pianist Liam Noble expressed their desire to create an album based on Tapestry but looking at the songs from a jazz perspective. The project is called Tapestry Rewoven and is expected to be completely different from the original.

Atlanta concerts

If you want to see a great concert, you do not have to look any further than Atlanta, Georgia to find one. The mild weather seems to attract music artists from around the world to perform outdoor concerts. Any time of the year is a great time to drive down to downtown area to sit inside (or maybe even outside in a stadium) for some great entertainment. The weather sits at about an average of 52 degrees even in January. This means that it is not uncommon to see late evening concerts being held anytime between April and October each year. If you are not up for outdoor concerts, that still should not keep you from seeing some of your favorite bands playing. Atlanta has some of the most comprehensive development going on in the world. There are literally, hundreds of venues going up in this region. This makes it appealing for artists to find great deals on possible venues. The top artists seem to jump at the opportunity for nice venues at affordable prices within a large marketplace. This means many of the best musicians will make a stop in this region to please the fans. Another great benefit to this community is its diverse demographics and very accepting community. The demographics even in reference to sexual preferences show that the Atlanta community has a huge range in taste. Unlike other places of the nation where you will always find people are like-minded about clothing, beliefs, and even music, the Atlanta market is extremely diverse. So therefore, you will not just find country artists or gospel artists visiting this region to perform, but you will also find the most popular rap artists and rock bands in the world playing here too.

Aerosmith is probably the best rock and roll band that ever surfaces in the music industry. Well, “best” is an understatement. The band is simply the greatest rock and rollers that America has ever loved. Aerosmith is very flexible in terms of their music. It can literally reach out to people from different ages and different walks of life. Its music transcends into pop to rhythm and blues but mostly focuses on heavy metal and rock and roll. Just the same people love them and America does not want to miss a thing. Since 1970, Aerosmith has been rock and rolling the music industry. Even if the members were tagged as the “Bad Boys from Boston” Steve Tyler charmed the listeners by its rocking voice and appeal. From the time that they had signed Columbia Records in the year of 1972, their popularity soared and never came into a halt. Up until now, Aerosmith has sold 150 million albums in all over the world; 66.5 of which were sold in America alone.

Who wouldn’t love Aerosmith? They are the greatest because even if the bands are kind of old as compared to the young rock artist nowadays, they were able to obtain a score of 21 to the top 40 Hits of the Billboard hot 100, won 4 Grammy Awards and was tagged in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The music of the band transcends time. From “Dream On” to “I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing” and “Jaded”, the band was able to reach even the younger generations. Hence, they are considered to be a living legend in the field of rock and roll. No wonder, they positioned themselves to #57 of the very famous magazine named Rolling Stone.

Aerosmith really rocks and keep the listeners rockin’ and rollin’ as well.
