Black Lips Tickets – Black Lips Ready Fifth Album for Late Summer/Early Fall Release

Black Lips Tickets – Black Lips Ready Fifth Album for Late Summer/Early Fall Release

The Black Lips might currently be in the middle of an American tour-which wraps up April 10-but the Atlanta-bred rock band is already two recording sessions deep into work on their fifth studio album. Guitarist Ian Saint Pe recently told Billboard.com that the band hopes to have the album released by late summer or early fall, saying, “When will we be done? I’m hoping by June. I’m hoping we can get the record out by the end of summer, September-October, when school gets back in. That’s my prediction.” The as-yet-untitled forthcoming album is the follow-up to the Black Lips’ 2009 album 200 Million Thousand, the critically acclaimed and commercially successful effort which made the group’s brand of flower-punk even more popular than before.

According to Saint Pe, the band held one recording session at its Decatur, Ga. studio, where they recorded 200 Million Thousand. The guitarist revealed that the studio has been “a little more fine-tuned” than the last time the Black Lips holed up there, although they are still working with the same producers: Bradford Cox and Lockett Pundt from Deerhunter. The Black Lips will return to another old haunt—the Distillery in Costa Mesa, Calif., where they recorded 2005′s Let It Bloom—for another session.

Speaking about the sessions so far, Saint Pe tells Billboard.com, “They’ve been focused sessions. I’m already digging what we’ve got. I’ve read reviews where people say we haven’t changed but, man, the wheel ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We do what we do. It’ll sound like a Black Lips record; I can’t say much more than that.” Fans of the band are likely just fine with that! Saint Pe added that the album has elements of garage rock, punk and Atlanta hip-hop, and while the title of the album remains unknown, the band is previewing a new song called “Raw Meat” on their current tour.

Other songs that fans with <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/black-lips-tickets/”>Black Lips tickets</a> can expect to hear in concert are new songs like “This is My World,” “So Long to Carolina” and “Wildest Dreams.” The Black Lips’ current North America road trip will come to a halt on April 10, after which point the band has a pair of shows booked in Spain: May 30 at the San Miguel Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona and June 24 at the Azkena Rock Festival in Vitoria.

Justin Bieber Tickets for Summertime Ball 2010

Justin Bieber Tickets for Summertime Ball 2010

Justin Bieber is a Canadian-American pop/R&B singer. His performances on YouTube were seen by Scooter Braun, who later became his manager. Braun arranged for him to meet with Usher in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher, and then to a recording contract with Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.

Bieber was born on March 1, 1994 in Stratford, Ontario. Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, was 18 years old when she became pregnant with her son. Bieber was raised as an only child by Mallette, who worked low-paying office jobs, though Bieber maintains contact with his father. As he grew, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. While searching for videos of a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber’s videos by accident. Impressed, Braun tracked down the theater Bieber was performing in, located Bieber’s school, and finally contacted Mallette. she permitted Braun to fly Bieber, then 13, to Atlanta, Georgia to record demo tapes. A week after arriving, Bieber sang for R&B singer/songwriter Usher, who arranged an audition with Antonio L.A. Reid at Island Def Jam Music Group, who in turn signed him to Island Records in October 2008. Bieber and his mother then moved to Atlanta, also the home of Usher and Braun, to base his career.

Bieber’s first single, “One Time”, was released to radio while Bieber was still recording his debut album. The song reached number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 during its first week of release in July 2009, and later peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. During fall 2009 it had success in international markets. The song was certified Platinum in Canada and the U.S. and Gold in Australia and New Zealand. Bieber’s first album My World, was released on November 17, 2009. Three consecutive singles, “One Less Lonely Girl”, “Love Me”, and “Favorite Girl”, were released exclusively on the iTunes store and charted within the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100. My World was eventually certified Platinum in the U.S. and Canada and Silver in the UK.

“Baby”, the lead single from the second half of his debut album, which features Ludacris, was released in January 2010 and became his biggest hit thus far, charting at number five in the U.S. and reaching the top ten in seven other countries. His album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making Bieber the youngest solo male act to top the chart since Stevie Wonder in 1963. My World 2.0 also debuted at number one on the Canadian Albums Chart, Irish Albums Chart, and Australian Albums Chart, and the New Zealand Albums Chart and reached the top ten of fifteen other countries.

Bieber’s popularity has caused safety concerns. While promoting My World, Bieber was scheduled to appear at Long Island’s Roosevelt Field Mall, but the performance had to be cancelled. Over 3,000 screaming fans showed up for the appearance. On April 26, 2010, a scheduled promotional performance was cancelled by Australian police after several girls were injured in a crowd crush. Arriving at Auckland airport in New Zealand later that day, RadioLIVE New Zealand reported on airport security’s efforts to keep Bieber out of trouble. He later tweeted that somebody stole his hat and “knocked down [his] mama.”

John Mayer Tickets-John Mayer in the News For Music, Not Romance!

John Mayer Tickets-John Mayer in the News For Music, Not Romance!

John Mayer has been in the news recently, but not for his music! The “Your Body Is a Wonderland” singer has endured constant media attention due to his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, but Mayer is finally putting a focus back on music. The multi-Grammy Award winner played a show following the Grammy nominations broadcast December 3. The concert, called “Grammy Nominations Live! – Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night,” was an exclusive, untelevised event at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. The original member of the Time reunited at Club Nokia for an after-party celebrating the grand opening of the Grammy Museum at L.A. live December 6. Try http://www.stubhub.com/john-mayer-tickets for John Mayer tickets to see him live when he goes on his next tour!

John Mayer kicked off his musical career in Atlanta after a short stint studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and never looked back. In 1999 Mayer released his debut solo album, Inside Wants Out, and was soon a staple on the Atlanta club circuit with regular gigs at venues like Eddie’s Attic. After performing at the South by Southwest Music Festival in March 2000, Mayer inked a contract with Aware Records, a subsidiary of major-label Columbia, and stepped in the studio to work on his proper debut with producer John Alagua, known for his work with Ben Folds Five and Dave Matthews. While Inside Wants Out was an acoustic album, Room for Squares, Mayer’s major-label debut album, was a smoother release reminiscent of Dave Matthews’ style. In the summer of 2001, Columbia re-released Room for Squares with one bonus track and also issued a very limited-edition double disc with two previously unreleased cover songs.

John Mayer hit the road on tour in support of Room for Squares and secured throngs of loyal fans along the way. The live album, Any Given Sunday, wasn’t the only result of Mayer’s nation-wide tour, as dozens of fan websites and CD-R trading outlets cropped up in its wake, as well. John Mayer received his second Grammy (this time for Song of the Year) for his sophomore major-label album, Heavier Things, released in 2004. Mayer then formed the John Mayer Trio with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino in an effort to strip down his sound. The trio went on tour and sold out venues, all of which was documented on the 2005 effort Try! John Mayer Trio Live in Concert. In 2006 Continuum was released and in 2008 the concert record Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles was issued.

Despite frequently getting himself into trouble with the media (such as this summer’s rant about his split with Aniston,) John Mayer continues to produce his hybrid of adult alternative and light rock music that has had fans swooning since “Your Body Is a Wonderland” first rocked the airwaves. Mayer hasn’t released a studio album since 2006 but is sure to deliver one soon. Secure your John Mayer tickets to see him love whenever he goes on tour next.
